A large built-in screen makes it just as ready for a boardroom presentation as a celebration, while your own private cellar wall and champagne service keep the evening flowing. Every gathering finds its own sense of identity here.

Head Chef Jamie Robertson has built a menu that puts the ingredient first, with the wood grill at its heart and a distinctly Australian point of view. From Sydney rock oysters and grilled scallops to Blackmore wagyu and dry-aged sirloin, every dish is designed to be shared and remembered.
All food and wine can be agreed in advance and work towards your minimum spend, so the evening feels considered from the first canapé to the last pour.

Private dining questions, answered
The Private Dining Room seats up to 16 guests behind its own doors. If your group is larger, we have semi-private areas for 20 to 50, a full restaurant takeover for 140 seated, and exclusive hire of the whole venue for up to 350 guests for cocktails and canapés.
Yes. We offer a choice of set menu packages (from $85 per person) or a minimum spend depending on the space, date and guest count. All food and wine you choose works towards the minimum spend, so nothing is wasted. Our team will confirm the figure for your event when you enquire.
Absolutely. Every menu can be adapted or tailored to your event, and we happily cater to all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy needs. Just let us know when you enquire.

Sydney Common is on Level 1 of the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, 161 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000, directly overlooking Hyde Park in the CBD. It’s a short walk from Museum and St James stations, with valet and secure parking available at the hotel.
We recommend enquiring as early as you can, especially for weekend dates and the November to December festive season, which book out quickly. That said, we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, so send us your date and we’ll check availability.
